Times have changed. Technology has changed. And surviving the interview process has changed. In order to land better jobs with brighter futures, today’s physicians need to understand, package, and “sell” their expertise more effectively. Graduating residents need practical advice of what actually to do to get a job hunt up to speed and turn an interview into a great job offer. We at Riverside Medical Center are proud sponsors of Adventures In Medicine because we believe that this handbook includes everything the young physician needs to start their journey into landing their dream job and launching a satisfying career.
Life is a remarkable journey.
“Cancer was a tough test, but thanks to Riverside, I got an A+.” When Davina felt a lump, she called Riverside Medical Center, the most advanced in the region for all types of cancer. A digital mammogram, ultrasound and needle biopsy confirmed early stage breast cancer. With a large dose of compassion, her oncologist suggested a lumpectomy, followed by radiation and chemotherapy. Today, Davina is cancer free. Talk about passing the test!
Life is a remarkable journey and our health impacts every step.
To hear Lou Thanasouras talk you would think that he is just a regular guy. The truth be known, he is anythin but regular. He is a pioneer. “I’ve done a lot of things in my life. I was a college football player, a gym teacher, a parts guy, even a chef. But the one thing I never thought I would be is a pioneer.” In November, 1999 Lou was Riverside Medical Center’s very first open-heart surgery patient. Ten years later, Lou is doing great thanks to the skilled doctors, nurses and staff that provide such outstanding care. Today Riverside has developed a premier cardiac surgery program, and it all had to start somewhere. Lucky for Riverside, we had a great pioneer in Lou!

Mehmet Sipahi, M.D., board-certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology, states, “It’s important that my patients feel comfortable enough to make an informed decision about their care. My philosophy of care is to address my patients’ concerns by helping them to understand their condition, their treatment options and to answer any questions they may have.”
Life is a remarkable journey. At Riverside our mission is to provide healthcare experiences that are just as remarkable. We do this for each and every person, regardless of their personal or economic circumstances.
Dr. Stonewall McCuiston, board-certified in Internal Medicine, has been providing remarkable experiences for his patients at Riverside for more than twenty years. “My patients mean the world to me. At the end of the day, I truly feel fulfilled knowing that I have made a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than me. I promise to always be there for them.”
Life is a remarkable journey. At Riverside we offer our highest thinking, our kindest touch, and our strongest commitment to excellence. All you have to do is listen to the voices of Riverside and you will know that this is indeed our mission.
