What is your adventure in medicine?
Our adventure in medicine is fundamentally about healing, body, mind and spirit. It can best be summarized in the Mission of service that inspired our founders more than 150 years ago: “As people of Providence, we reveal God’s love for all, especially the poor and vulnerable, through our compassionate service.”

We are an integrated, not-for-profit health system with a presence in diverse communities across Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington. We have around 9,000 physicians on our medical staff, 1,200 physicians in our own Providence Medical Group, and more than 50,000 employees, or “people of Providence.” We operate world-class heart, cancer and brain centers, 27 hospitals, two children’s hospitals, and ambulatory clinics from Anchorage, Alaska, to the South Bay of Los Angeles.
